Through pictures and the written history that began some 400 years ago, this book is a beautiful exploration of the history of this port town. Featuring the Courthouse Galleries on its cover, Portsmouth, is an expanded second edition.

Annie Moon

Annie Moon is a local folk artist known for her fabric and collage work. She enjoys creating stuffed animals and personal pieces that combine cloth, photos, and other found items. Be sure to look for Annie’s next class at the Museum Shop.
Ric Rountree Old Virginia Textiles
Ric Rountree

Ric, the eldest son of a craftsman, began working in wood at a young age. He strives to showcase the beauty of the wood in every piece he hand crafts at his home in Isle of Wight County. He considers his woodworking a way to reveal nature’s beauty. A prolific turner, Ric is always creating new pieces you can find here in the Museum Shop.

Old Virginia Textiles

Trained by his Grandfather, Robert W. Harman is the sixth generation of his family to work in the textile trade in Hiwassee, VA. Robert and his wife weave placemats, napkins, blankets, rugs and the ever popular kitchen towel. They have woven for Gatlinburg, the Smithsonian, Colonial Williamsburg, Ethan Allen and can now be found here at the Museum Shop.
